[big][big]General Election Brings Uncontested Glory! [/big][/big]

Election votes? Who needs those? For the first time in recent memory(perhaps ever, but who cares about that?), we have had an uncontested election! While this was beyond a happy event, there was not a single vote cast in our previous General Election, thus granting all who rank a nice comfy seat in what could be one of our most interesting sessions!

Unsurprisingly, after his high approval rate from his last term after taking the reins from British Orange, Klaus Mikaelson was elected Prime Minister.

[big][big]New Order Formed![/big][/big]

The Prince-Regent, Prince John, has formed the Knights of the Round Table! This order serves as a personal envoy of the Monarch, a Royal Guard, an advisory chamber, and generally a group of helpers. While there are a few naysayers, the Order has received general positive remarks.

Matthias von Richthofen, Viscount Richthofen

[big][big] New Cabinet Announced![/big][/big]

The Right Honourable, Klaus Mikaelson spared absolutely zero time in appointing his cabinet. While there have been some questions raised about the choices, the choices have not created a great deal of strife.

Prime Minister: Klaus Mikaelson

Deputy Prime Minister: William Kudrow

The Home Secretary: Spencer Grenville

The Foreign Secretary: Matthias von Richthofen

The Defense Secretary: Christopher Bishop

The Culture Secretary: Tyrion Vinage

[big][big]Speaker Elections...With Votes![/big][/big]

Both Houses of Parliament elected their respective Speakers shortly after gaining office. Thankfully, this one received votes. The winners were William Kudrow in the House of Commons and Adelaide in the House of Lords.

[big][big]New Policies in Both the Foreign and Defence Offices![/big][/big]

Recently, the Defence Office announced that our bipartisan military will be stripped down to a single unit. This is meant to maximize our effectiveness and to assist our Foreign Policy.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Office has announced the intention to strip all diplomats of their roles outside of the British Isles. This is intended to weed out any activity caused by the summer lull. Accompanying this decision is the choice to close all Embassies that fail to either reply to our Foreign Dispatch or messaging either the ambassador presiding over their region or the Foreign Secretary in British Isles. Regions will have ONE WEEK to do so before all embassies between the two are closed. This is being utilized to rid the region of inactive embassies and to limit the workload of the ambassadors.

[big][big]First Ever Census![/big][/big]

The first ever census took place in British Isles only a few days ago. Despite the dismal participation rate, the Home Office remains hopeful that these events will help guide the region's domestic policies in the future.

[big][big]Election Commissioner Appointed and Reappointed![/big][/big]

Matthias von Richthofen experience a slight roller coaster ride as he was appointed Election Commissioner! Shortly after being appointed, concerns were raised due to his current holding of an elected position within the appointed House of Lords. This issue was brought to the attention of the Supreme Court by Matthias himself in order to avoid confrontation. This movement was then made irrelevant by the eventual resignation of Matthias due to the impending elected and the following appointment of Victoria, the Duchess of Windsor.

This ends our first dispatch of the new term, please remember to get in contact with our ambassador on your forums or with Matthias von Ricthofen on the British Isles forum! Have a wonderful day and we hope that your region prospers!

Thanks for this update!

Congratulations to Klaus Mikaelson and all those elected on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs!

So what exactly is the purpose of this Knights of the Round Table order? What are their duties so far? It sound interesting to be honest.
