As a resident of Timmy Pawlenty's feifdom I can tell you he's a likeable enough guy but his policies have absolutely destroyed te quality of life here. He's been able to hold to his pledge of "no new (state) taxes" by two different means:1. Shifting the burden to the counties and municipalities, creating excessive redundancies in infrastructure and causing a greater increase in local taxes.2. Changing the name of some taxes to "user fees" so they can be raised without breaking his pledge.State infrastructure is in a shambles. Our education system is crumbling, our emergency services are overburdened, our roads and bridges are in dangerous shape Remember the I-35 bridge collapse? On his watch. Insufficient funding for law enforcement. Looking to speed and not get caught? Come here. Finding a State Patrol officer is something akin to "Where's Waldo?".
