First of all I apologize that I didn't react sooner to this. Also it's a bit sad that no-one else felt the need to comment. I foresee a storm of protest after this is passed, as seems to be custom in this region :eyes:



Ok, overall it's looking fine, but a few comments, some things do need tweaking, the important bits in red.

Article 10 - Duties of the Prime Minister



2. The Prime Minister shall also be permitted to submit recommendations of Cabinet level structure and alteration to the Delegate while the final say resides with the Delegate.

I don't see the point in making a statement in the constitution where the prime minister has the power to be ignored.

Article 9



1. The Delegate shall have the full authority to appoint a Cabinet made up mandatory positions alongside any other posts the Delegate sees fit.

I don't think this sentence is grammatically sound. Made up <em class='bbc'>of</em> mandatory positions? Not sure.

2. The Delegate shall have the power to issue Executive Orders which will carry the full force of policy and law.

This is a problem. The "law" bit effectively puts the assembly out of business. With this statement, we can just as well dispose of the assembly.

Article 11 - Election of the Prime Minister





?? 1. The Prime Minister shall serve a three month term starting the 5th of a given month. Campaigning for the post shall be opened by the Delegate one-week before the date polls open, and all candidates shall be required to state their intent to run.

The good thing about our old system (election around the 20th) was that you could think at the beginning of the month "darn, we're having elections this month" and still be in time to organize

Article 6 ? Legislature and Legislative Power



8? A bill becomes law if it receives a 60% majority vote.

Why not make it 50%+1?

Article 6.2 The Minister of the Region will act as Chair of the Assembly. The Chair of the Assembly is responsible for the administration of all aspects of drafting, debating, and passing of laws.

There is no minister of the Region anymore! So who is going to be chair of the assembly, an dhow is that person getting hte position?



Further I am worried that there is no clear division of power and responsibility between Delegate and Prime minister. I think this can lead to problems.
