I'm changing my vote on TP to nay, actually. I'm reconsidering that one.

Changing my vote back to Aye. Unanimity on this is important.

Ok, right now our priority needs to be firming up relations we have with key regions. We need to send envoys to Equilism and TEP asap to talk treaties, as soon as the UDL gets of their asses and elects a COB talk to them, and consider other moves.

Considering the absence of Ant, I suggest we appoint Envoy's with plenipotentiary powers to Equilism and TEP. There is a time for people going back and forth between cabinets, and there is a time to give someone the power to negotiate a treaty.

Had a quiet word with Asta. Right now Equlism doesn't have a Chief Minister, but she'll talk to the founder. Assuming he and the new Chief Minister are receptive, we can move ahead. Time to pick an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Equilism.

I have talked to Todd earlier today, I had broached the idea of a treaty. He said TEP will probably be open for a treaty. Perhaps we can discuss things in their forum.

You want to appoint yourself Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to The East Pacific? You get a really cool job title

You don't want me to bungle negotiations. I have zero experience in that stuff. I might attend, to add color to discussions. Please choose someone with more experience. (Also, time issues.)

Did WW end up successful in his attack of Equilism's government? A region with WW as founder seems iffy.

WW is not the founder of Equilism.

Chaucerin, with Whamabama as co-founder. Westwind is a forum admin but not in the current governing cliche.

Moving forward; In the continued absence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs (last seen a week ago) I motion we appoint Todd McCloud as Special Envoy to TEP and someone as Special Envoy to Equilism, tasked with negotiated treaties of alliance.
Â
Todd should have a particularly easy time dealing with TEP's Delegate.

Is it practical to have both sides of a talk be the same person? I'm okay with Todd representing us, so I don't mind. Sounds weird though. XD
Â
That someone fellow is a complete toolface though.
Â
EDIT: And man, I could have sworn it was Nai/WW back in the day. Must be confused.

I dunno, I figured if we were going to send a special envoy we might as well send the most special one possible
Â
Edit: More realistically, what I had in mind was Todd draws up the kind of thing he thinks TEP would like, and we go over it. I mean we could appoint someone to talk to Todd to discuss negotiations for a treaty etc or we could just talk to Todd.
Â
I think Eq's founder changed after they redounded the region.

I don't think Equilism has ever been refounded. They've just passed Equility around.
