Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the  second annual FRAVision song contest. This year we're proud to be broadcasting from the regional forums of last years winners, the fabulous realm of Lazarus. A big thanks goes out to them from the off.

Great! But how the hell is this going to work?

FRAVision will be a song contest between regions and individuals. Any individual, collection of individuals or regions can submit an entry. The contest will last one special week and take the form of three phases...

1. Submission (13th-17th May 2013)

Anyone wishing to participate will submit their entry by creating a thread in the <a class='bbc_url' href='http://w11.zetaboards.com/ns_lazarus/forum/3726466/'>Submissions Forum</a> using the following format...

2. Judging (17th-20th May 2013)

Once the submission phase is over the judges (made up of all regional reps of the FRA Regional Assembly, along with 3 specially selected members from Lazarus) will vote on their preferred songs. Judges will rate their top 5 songs in order of preference (awarding their favourite 10 (dix) points, then 8 (huit) points, 6 (six) points and so forth). This will be done by judges posting their votes in a designated thread I will open.

3. Award Ceremony (20th May 2013)

Once the judging period is over the winners will be announced in an awesome and special award ceremony. Awards will be available for the top 3 candidates.

Sounds awesome. Can anyone take part?

I know, it does. Anyone can take part- you don't need to be a citizen of a FRA member region or even a defender. Each person is limited to one entry only however, including if they are submitting an entry as a group.

Can we make up our own song?

Of course. Entries are only required to be a song- if you've written your own we'd love to hear you sing it, but failing that lyrics are also accepted!

Above in the spoiler is the informational post about the contest. The entries are supposed to be due tomorrow but Awesom said he thought there was going to be an extension. So, our plan is to write it with everyone contributing one line at a time so that all of TSP gets to have a bit in there.
 
We need a song to write to, though, any (simple) tune suggestions? I was thinking "You Are My Sunshine" but a "We Are T-S-P" version. Suggest songs away! We only have a few days to do this so this is going to be a little rushed.

We need a song to write to, though, any (simple) tune suggestions? I was thinking "You Are My Sunshine" but a "We Are T-S-P" version. Suggest songs away! We only have a few days to do this so this is going to be a little rushed.

If you are going to have a "We are T-S-P" song, I suggest <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMVe_HcyP9Y'>Sister Sledge's "We are family"</a> as the tune. Very appropriate. We can have a chorus like:

I'm basing mine off the South African <a class='bbc_url' href='http://youtu.be/uhUMsqei7kM?t=58s'>national anthem (part of it)</a>

Weird traditions prove successful

As a personal grumpy move I intend to abuse whatever power I have to ensure there is no mention of Milograd or Carta at all in this entry. So I disqualify Bels.
 
I think B&N's song is very fun sounding, and should be easy to write to. If no one objects by tomorrow I'll open a thread to start writing.
