The recent Coup in The South Pacific is thus extremely troubling, an example of the absolute worst kind of coup: It is one thing to seize power illegally by force. That is, in its own way, honest, if still entirely despicable. But to get elected in the legitimate mechanisms of the region and then act in a wholly illegitimate way, banjecting en masse and removing other elected officials and acting in unconstitutional ways is a very special kind of foul. It is for that reason that The Kingdom of Kantrias condemns Milograd and his actions, condemns those who support him, and stands by the legitimate government of The South Pacific. Statement on Events in The South Pacific



The West Pacfiic Imperium is aware of the unfolding situation in The South Pacific, and sends our best wishes to all nations of TSP.



During the recent conflict among the Guardians in TWP, we appreciated the respect and understanding of TSP that it was an internal matter. It is the opinion of The West Pacific Imperium, that this current situation is no different, and we look forward to working with TSP in all future endeavors to the benefit of both our regions.



We do however, wish it to be clear that The West Pacific recognises the ingame authority of the sitting Delegate over an offsite government's attempt to control the Delegacy. Ingame NationStates is where regional authority lies, not in an offisite forum which is unrecognized by the game itself.



We are also concerned that The South Pacific's ban on TWP Guardian Punk Daddy remains in effect. It continues to be our hope that regardless of the outcome of current events, TSP will reconsider it's ill advised ban on TWP leadership. Maintaining this ban is of great concern to TWP and is indicative of a policy that lacks respect for the leadership of their fellow Feeders.

Statement on the coup in the South Pacific
Approximately twelve hours ago, Milograd, sitting Delegate of The South Pacific, went rogue, removing the link to the community forum, requesting foreign military assistance and launching a purge of several hundred nations against the region.



Beyond the hollow rhetoric, Milograd's actions lack any direction whatsoever outside that of betraying the trust of those same institutions which had elected him and causing needless grief with the displacement of four hundred native nations.



The Rejected Realms cannot accept the rule of a delegate, Milograd, who seems to consider an entire feeder region as a playground for power abuse. We pledge diplomatic and RRA support to ensure a speedy restoration of the legitimate government.

Due to the actions of the sitting delegate of the South Pacific, the New Inquisition find what has transgressed appalling.



The New Inquisition shall be offering all support it can through all channels to support the legitimate government in their effort to establish control of the region. This is not only coming from a treat ally, but as a friend of the South Pacific.

We would also like to express our support. The Black Hawks fully support Milograd and all the lols he is causing. Statement on the events in The South Pacific
It has come to the attention of Sovereign Confederation that Milograd, the elected delegate of The South Pacific, has broken from the Coalition Government of The South Pacific and conducted a regional purge. At the time of this writing, Milograd has indicated that he was motivated to take these actions ‘to protest injustice’ and to draw attention to issues with influence accumulation that uniquely affect GCRs.



We have full confidence that the citizens of The South Pacific can handle this affair, and we applaud their efforts in maintaining continuity of government and community during these trying times.



We look forward to seeing an end to this conflict, and hope to see a swift and peaceful end to hostilities within The South Pacific.

Statement on The South Pacific Coup



The East Pacific has been both troubled and concerned over the news of the legitimately-elected delegate, Milograd, going rogue and operating independently of the recognized government of The South Pacific.



The East Pacific stands resolved: order must be restored in The South Pacific. Citing feeder unity and past positive relationships between our two regions, we wish to aid our fellow region to the South in obtaining order. This may include, but is not limited to, working with other regions to restore the government by force, and assisting natives during these perilous times.



The region to the east will act on its best conscience, and reserves the right to adjust its stance as the situation changes. But rest assured, our motives will be focused on what we perceive to be the best interest of a region which we consider close friends and allies.

Milograd's actions appear to have a muddled intent that does not and cannot in any way justify the terrorism and griefing of The South Pacific. Canada's government and citizens would like to express their grave concerns over the abandonment of constitutional rule by Milograd and his supporters. The alleged need to overthrow an entrenched oligarchy does not in any way excuse the departure from consensus rule, particularly when that system was open enough to allow Milograd to take the delegacy in the first place.



We particularly condemn the illegal expulsion of natives from The South Pacific. Our condolences go out to them, and to any other citizens who have been distressed by recent events.



Canada continues to recognize the pre-existing democratically elected officers as the rightful government of The South Pacific, and would like to offer diplomatic support in helping them return to power.



We would also welcome any refugees who may feel that The South Pacific is no longer safe, or have been ejected due to the current regime.



Our best wishes go to all the member nations of The South Pacific, and our hope that you can speedily return to a stable and legitimate state of government

It has come to our attention of the behaviour of the South Pacific's delegate, a situation which is distressing to us as friends of the South Pacific. The South Pacific is a region with who we've had relations for many months and we are shocked at this behaviour by Milograd and wish to express our support for the regions people.



It is our belief Milograd has disgraced himself and his reputation in this attack and it is unbecoming of an elected delegate to attempt to overthrow his government and we can in no way support this destruction of one of NationStates oldest and most democratic governments. Milograd has raised important points about the issue of influence in GCRs but couping a region he has pledged to serve is not in any manner an appropriate way to try and raise these beliefs. 



The British Isles welcomes any requests of assistance from the South Pacific and we offer our sympathies and support. While we echo the Sovereign Confederation is stating we believe the citizens of the South Pacific can handle this situation aptly, should it come to it we welcome any request for help from your region.
