Admin/Mod Requests 2.0

In light of some changes to the forum and the way we want to move forward with keeping technical issues separate from the actual moderation and administration requests it is time for a new thread.

 

What should I be posting here?

 

There are two categories of requests that should be posted here.  The first being Moderation which includes locking, unlocking, pinning, and unpinning threads.

 

The second category is admin requests which include creation of forums, masking changes, name changes (if you are having issues with doing it yourself), and any other request that requires admin attention with the exception of technical issues.

 

If you have general questions about board functionality here is a good place to post that as well.  However we won't be upset if you create a thread to ask your question either.

 

Why did you make this change?

 

Well we have a very nice system for reporting technical issues that allows admins to work on each issue individually and not clutter up requests.  This will help make sure we can see your requests and act on them in a timely manner.  We also have an awesome moderation staff that may be able to help you sooner than an admin can get to it.

 

So where do I put my technical issues and what about Moderation Appeals?

 

Please start a new thread in the Operation Center for technical issues.  Please include with your report of an issue how you are accessing the forums when you are having issues.  We ask that you open a new thread so it can be easily kept track of if the issue is confirmed.

 

If you have received moderation action against you and want to appeal that action you should file your appeal <a class="bbc_url" href="http://forums.thesouthpacific.org/page/appeals.html">here</a>.

I locked the thread because it was meant to be a reference thread only; apparently I can't edit my posts in a locked thread.

Is there supposed to be the big info hub as the header? Or has that not been added to the theme....?

It is on all themes.  If you have an ad blocker running you won't see it.
 
We don't have ads on this site except for a little link on the bottom of the page so you can disable for our domain.

That is a software that is installed on your computer causing that.  Not this site.

Well that would be because they haven't been all sorted through yet to make sure there is no private areas that are public.  We had to combine two forum archives into one and the structure of those archives did not transfer over.  It all had to be rebuilt.  I have been working on it when I had time to.  I am only one person and this requires in depth adminCP usage which the other admins (to my knowledge) are not comfortable with yet.
