That's gonna be a bit messy, and isn't something I really want to get into quite yet. We're still discussing what we want; it's way to early to start bandying around specific legislation.

Since I'm reading The Charter for the first time, I thought I'd gloss as I go...
 
[A]rticle 2.1 - Not sure what my 'obligations' are.
A3.1 - 'Code of Laws'? What's that and where is it? Ditto references elsewhere in Charter.
A3.4 - 'zetaboards'? Why two forums?
A5.3 - 'appropriate legislation, as needed.'? Somewhat inexact.
[ I start to glaze over about here, sorry honesty... ]
A6.4 to A6.7 - Are there 'Procedures' for TSP? Do procedural details need to be in the Charter?
A7 - Procedural details need to be farmed out to Procedures? [ Glaze complete about here. ]
A8,A9 'Duties' seem procedural, 'Responsibilities' fit better in a Charter?
A10 to A18 -[ Argh I'm none of these things, why do I have to read this?]
A19 - How to amend The Charter (this discussion is governed by Article 19). [Looks ok.]
A20 - Ok, procedural bits though.
 
Charter Rewrite?
1. Not a good idea to throw the baby out with the bathwater (eliminate something good trying to get rid of something bad)!
2. "Starting again from new" can result in gutting the org of much hard-won knowledge based on experience within the org.
3. New is not necessarily better, it's a false economy to chuck everything out: it will have to be re-learned.
4. Change an itemised "document of power" such as The Charter... item by item, with a reason for each change.
5. Reasons for item/Article change may include:
5.1 Change in external environment (eg overarching game dynamics or rules change);
5.2 Internal negatives (eg high dissatisfaction by many members over particular issues);
5.3 Internal positives (eg initiatives gaining strong support by many members);
5.4 [ more possible reasons for change please, brain run away now... ]

I have a draft that I am getting ready to post.  You can create your own draft or make changes to the draft I am posting.  Any submitted proposals will be considered.

I didn't even see this post.  I added the info hub back today.  It required me to edit each theme which I thought was going to take more time then it did.  For now it is just on the index page but will eventually be on the topic and forum pages as well.  I didn't like the way it looked when I was testing it so am going to make a couple of changes.

i guess the key aim for any draft is massive simplification. I might have a go at working up a draft too.
