TCT Memorial Award
#1
Ok, I've made the following for the award;

<img src='http://i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo202/Belschaft/TCTMemorialAward.png' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' />

I can do better if anyone has a higher quality version of TCT's flag however.

Question is; what kind of awards ceremony do we want to go with? I figured I'd make a thread announcing the awards, ask SB to give a short speech, and have someone give a speech in TCT's place.

I'd recommend contacting generalites who knew the Cat-Tribe, since he was close to that community. If you need a speaker, I'm available.

The Decorations and Awards Act asks for Southern Bellz and the Cat-Tribe to be declared as this term's awarded members in an Announcement of Recipiency thread (like four days ago Tongue). After this Announcement, we've got several months to organize award presentations for both recipients. I'd recommend running the Cat-Tribe presentation as the first ceremony and then run the Southern Bellz presentation as the second ceremony.For the Cat-Tribe presentation, I'd recommend having a keynote speaker who'd discuss the service he provided our region in the defence of our coalition and our freedom of speech. Perhaps we could run a debate in honour of Cat-Tribe since he's a well-known debater; we could invite some generalites who knew TCT and some debaters across NS (perhaps check TEP's debates). The theme of the debate would logically be democracy or freedom of speech. People could enter the thread to pay their respects and honour TCT, or cheer on their favourite debaters. Whilst I'm thinking, perhaps we could include the RMB into this debate idea.

So make it international, kind of like The South's Summit?

Yep, I think the idea is to have it run on the South Pacific but bring all kinds of people onto our forum in the process. Tongue

Are we going to use the template Bel drew up? Also are we going to do the debate? If so we may need to back this up a week.

Template Bel drew up looks good to me, but I'm just an admin, not a cabinet member, so I'll refrain from comments / inputs SmileGood luck!
