spammers
#1
we need some legislation to allow the delegate to ban spammers who mock living in the feeders...

Quote:4 hours ago  FlagRFNrecruiter  Keep complaining about spammers even though you're in a feeder region? Be a man and join Royal Federation of Nations, the most interesting region in the world.
of course they could just ban them, as per their perogative...

I think we need to be more tough on spammers, so you guys on the RMB, continue to mock, retort, heckle spammers to your hearts content. They are the biggest leach on our community, and I say we should have a zero tolerance rule when it comes to spammers. Our laws are not built to protect them, after all when it comes to most spammers relationship with TSP, all they do is take.I understand it is a legal practice in the game. That doesn't mean it is a legal practice according to TSP law. If legislation is really an issue I say we make a law as simple as any nation spamming the message board with a recruitment ad, they are subject to be banned by the delegates digression.

Unfortunately SB, it is part of NS gameplay rules that they can recruit on our RMB. Secondly, to ban everyone who spammed our board with a recruitment message, you'd need to be online 24/7 - something that isn't practical.Mocking them etc is all well and good, but again, make sure that people don't step on a moderator's toe when all is said and done. I've seen some good people go down because they've pissed the wrong mod off. And for lesser things than mocking an adspammerMind you, I'm all for booting repeat offenders, but, this does affect the delegate's influence and you want to have all the influence you can in case of attack SmileAlso, by just being dictatorial about what can and can't be posted on the RMB does tend to give the region a negative image.Perhaps refining your suggested law to within reasonable grounds might make it a little more acceptable to the old softies round here like me Wink

Fudgie's got it right. Ad-spam can be placed on our RMB once per day per region. That's it. If someone is repeatedly spamming us, then we deal with the person the good old fashioned way: warn, send a puppet into their region, and let the mods know. Let the mods enforce NS rules.

Yes, they do. I've tried several times in the past to do it - you could do it before the transfer to Jolt, but now you can't.
