TSP Badger Race 1000
And the Badger Racing goes a little something like this...
If you want to enter your Badger...Then just drop me a PM (Personal Message) containing the following information:
Badger Name
Badger Racing Colours (1st and 2nd Preference)
Badger Speed
Badger Stamina
Badger Special Ability
And to explain each of these elements in turn...
Now to help you the following people have already adopted their own cuddly ball of black 'n' white fluff 'n' joy:
Kloister - Mr Jones
Fidei Defensor - Philippe
PapaC - Jean Luc
TGHS - Sparky
J Delight - Trixie
Herculeum - Vienna
htz3 - Fifi
ParrrrTay - Erica
Elizabiethian - Rembrandt
TEPC - Tiddles
Fudge - Antonio
Dick Van Dyke - Bludger
Caer_Rialis - Bors
Unica - Tito
HutSutRaw - Sebastian
Military Force - Stefan
Groot - Kenny
King J - Lulubelle
Atag - Romeo
Dingaling - Bernardo
Semartica - Lenny
Appreciate that some of the names listed above (taken from the Badger Adoption Agency Record Vault) have not been seen around these parts for a little while, but you never know who might just pay a visit for the festivities...
You can choose any colour/s you like for the specially constructed Badger Racing Suit, but the wackier the better, and it lessens the chance of two or more people picking the same colour combo...Hence the 1st and 2nd preferences...
For Speed and Stamina settings what you need to do is take the number 30 and keep that in mind...You can then assign a value to each...The total of the two values should not exceed 30, so for example you could have:
Speed 15 and Stamina 15, or
Speed 10 and Stamina 20, but not
Speed 20 and Stamina 20...That's right out and is the Badger Racing equivalent of doping...And we will have no Badgerbolic Steroids round here thank you very much...
So how do you decide what values to pick, well that is all down to the length of the race and the terrain...There are several different variables and they are:
Number of Laps - 3 laps, 5 laps, 7 laps or 10 laps
Terrain - Smooth as a Badger's ****, Rolling Meadows, Swampy, Sandy or Rougher than a Badger's ****
These all have a correlating effect on the Speed and Stamina settings...Not going to go into too much more detail than that as I am sure you will be able to work it out for yourselves...
The Special Ability is provides us with the Wild Card and that air of unpredictability, and the race commentator the artistic license to do whatever they want once the race is under-way, so the more interesting the special ability the better chance your Badger has of pulling something 'special' out of the bag to cross that finishing line first...(A couple of examples from past Badger Races are Turbo Express Tunnelling and Razor Claws...Which would both provide a benefit for certain situations, but might hinder in others...
So if that is all clear for everyone we can get things under-way...I would like to give everyone plenty of time to get the Badgers trained sufficiently for the arduous rigours that face them...So we would look to run the race in 7 days time...The race commentary will be written in several instalments over next weekend...
Any questions then just raise them here in this thread and send through a PM with the information needed to register your Badger for the race...
