[Discussion] Planning Committees
#1
Quote:So to try to wrap this one up...Where do we sit on the need to formalise these two committees?..
Anymore for anymore?..

I know that the SPAA met with a modicum of success last time out...Why don't we try to get the formal committee set up now so that planning for the next event can take off when needed...And on that note, why not set up a thread for recording nominations throughout the year...I know that I often see things that I think would be great for the SPAAs but when it comes round to it I forget where I've seen them and it takes too long to find it again...This way it would be easier to compile the list of nominations...On submitting things to the thread, we could request the link and context etc...In effect writing the Awards piecemeal rather than having a long hard slog at wards time...

We maybe need to discuss the Re-union idea a little more...Is this something that has the legs?..

As to nominations, we've traditionally done them closed (i.e., through PM or email) to maintain the anonymity of nominators. Opening a thread sort of nullifies that. However, I WILL take nominations year-round. That's not a problem. If the anonymity issue isn't a real issue, opening up a thread would be fine.As to the SPAR, my previous comment still holds: This would have to be organized by someone who's been here longer than me, and thus knows who to reunite.

My question would be ... do we have enough contact info to reach these people?

ie. Bisty, Slacker, etc?
