Cabinet Meeting Agenda for 1/2/2014

 

1.  2014 NationStates World Fair (1/3 – 1/10)

    - Each Minister and their deputies will be expected to run an activity or debate for TSP during the World's Fair. Please look at the <a class="bbc_url" href="http://forums.thesouthpacific.org/topic/5424-ns-world-fair-2013-proposal/" title="">proposal</a> and let me know asap what you (and\or your staff ) wish to run\moderate. 

Please have picked out an activity you will be running in the fair by meeting time. Feel free to discuss with me beforehand if you're unsure.

 

2. MoRA Agenda

    - Inter-regional event with Kantrias

    - Awe, the following regions have expressed interest in an inter-regional event with TSP:  Albion (Cassius, wanted to plan it around Valentine's Day), Democratic Socialist Party (The Saint James Island), The Noth Pacific (Isle of Avalon?), Versutian Federation (Erasmo Gnome). I'd love to have one or more inter-regional events per month until the end of my term.

 

3. NSA Missions and Cooperation with MoFA

    - TBD

   - SB, I'd like you to write a short recruitment message for the NSA that I can send out in the next mass TG. Thanks.

 

5. Citizenship and Chair of the Assembly Reform

   - I'd like to move forward with legislation relating to the chair of the assembly position as outlined here. Please take a look at the last draft I've updated and comment and hopefully we can move forward with this soon.

- On changing the wording so that all TSPers are now citizens and that applications are for voter registration. We still need some assistance with the wording for citizens who've applied for voting rights.

- On adding a CoI statement to citizenship (voter) registrations.

 

6. Implementation of the Sunshine Law

- Hile, opened a discussion on the sunshine law compliance. I'd like to follow up on this and divy up the duties in terms of how we got about going through and releasing information. I know SB expressed reservation about certain posts and didn't want them to be released and I wonder if there is a "redacted"o ption where we "erase" those sections that may lead to personal harm or negative consquesnes to a player.

 

7. Government Transparency and CSS Reform

- A discussion on defining emergency powers and protocols is here. This is something that I think is key to TSP as a whole because of the change in game play dynamics and due to the fact that we need more members on the CSS. Please add your thoughts to the discussion and bring up any questions\suggestions during the meeting.

 

8. Chair of Assembly Legislation

- A few things have stalled. One of them being the Kantrias non-aggression pact.

- Rebel, GR has been kind enough to assist you with anything you'd like to get caught up on. Please take advantage of his excellent skills and experience. I plan to offer him an advisor position in the near future.

 

9. Judicial Reform (QD is unavailable but we will discuss briefly) and other major issues that you would like to bring up
