On the definition of powers in the event of emergency
#76
Yes, not veto but in case of an error should there be a way to fix things?

I mean ... really if we're going to bring a second to vote, it could just be an alteration to the first, no? If the first one passes, of course.

The only prob is that we'd have lag time until we could have a second vote, but neither should be a glaring problem.

If a bill is seconded, legally, it has to go to a vote. This bill has already been brought to a vote, and some votes have been tallied. This vote HAS to take its full ride, since it has been seconded and moved to vote.

I think the law is written correctly. It makes no sense to give any one person, or the cabinet, assembly veto powers, cause cabinet members are ALSO assembly members. And itd be worthless to stop the vote to let the assembly vote whether to close the first vote... So, the way I see it, theres really nothing that can be done to keep a bill from going to vote once its seconded, unless the CoA makes changes to the text motioned to vote (which is their right).
