To: The Rt. Hon. Douglas Alexander MP, Secretary of State for Foreign and Colonial Affairs of the Federal Republic of Belschaft

Greetings!

With regards to your latest submission, we would like to inquire as to whether the "designations" represent the Federal Republic's internal nomenclature of the continental masses, or are these suggestions as to the names of the continents? If it is the latter, suggestions to the continental names will be welcomed here. If it is the former, we are afraid that the Bureau of Cartography will not be accepting unilateral declarations of appellation to features that are commonly shared.

Hopefully the matter will be cleared, and we thank you for your interest.

Sir,

The Federal Republic does not recognize a distinction between the internal and international nomenclature of the continental bodies. It is our position that the names provided above are the names of the continental bodies, and respectfully insist upon acknowledgement of this position.

To: The Rt. Hon. Douglas Alexander MP, Secretary of State for Foreign and Colonial Affairs of the Federal Republic of Belschaft

Thank you very much for the clarification. The Board of Cartography would now be able to reject and dismiss your nation's insistence on naming the continents without due process. Any suggestions as to the names of continents must be brought to the proper venue, in order for the process to be fair and balanced.

Thank you very much.
