Because NS gives us unrealistically large population sizes, I think that we need to change the 100km bar in the legend to at least 1000km to accomodate our nations.  For example you can't have an island the size of Puerto Rico hold hundreds of millions of people.

One of the issues is to build skyscrapers...

Since the Rainbow Islands have been unpopular thus far, and my country (126) is smaller than Rhode Island, could I have 125 & 127 at colonies if they remain unclaimed?

Sierra Lobo Five Major cities are mega Cities. The largest city has 2 billion population in it's limits. Due to strict environmental laws we require underground engineering and massive skyscrapers.

Also if colonies are allowed. We would also like to have one; but, if we need more space for other interested nations then I would not press the suit.

Potentially, I believe the best idea is to wait until the claiming calms down, then see if there are open spaces left for colonies/additional spots.  Kind of like how we used to do seconds at dinner.  No one was allowed a second plate until everyone had their first plate.

I further stress that your NS population doesn't have to be your national population.  Though, I suppose that'll be gone over in the Role Play University.

Bikethage's industry has focussed on miniaturization for quite some time.

We have a lot of mini-mart operators, milliners, micro climate specialists, microbiologists, microprogrammers, nanotechnologists, and small business operators.

Therefore more citizens can fit in a smaller land area.

Plus, not using cars we more than double the effective living space in our cities.

So, perhaps we don't need to rescale the map. Tongue

I agree with this. Smile

Also, let us not be too colony-happy. The goal is not to fill the entire map with ourselves and our colonies, but rather give the opportunity to map their nations to as many TSPers as we can. Wink There will also be TSPers of the future, so I think we should also keep them in mind. Big Grin

-----

Just to let everyone know, I will be processing claims this coming weekend, so don't be surprised if your claim isn't included yet in the map for the next few days. Wink

First off, amazing job on the map.  I noticed I have room for one or two more cities on my map, so I may reserve the option to add those later on.  Secondly, is there a base map without the physical geography?  I'm trying to get the square kilometers of plot 153 and setting up a political map for my factbook.

As far as the Nerr Mountains are concerned, it appears that Tsrill isn't using English as its national language (unless they're just being really mean to their people by using difficult-to-pronounce names).  So, it pops in my mind that Nerr is the Tsrillian word for the mountains while we probably call them something else in English.  That being said, while I'm not one way or the other over the actual name, Nerr, I think it can be kept because we can work that into the language and probably come up with something cool regarding urban legend stories about the mountains.  Nerr works for spooky stories, in my honest opinion.

Yes, there is a wikipedia-style base map. (With boundaries, or without boundaries?). And surprisingly, I have previously computed the area for #153 - 380,936 square kilometers.

Well, Tsrill isn't mean by using difficult-to-pronounce names. IIRC Tsrillik is a very difficult-to-pronounce language by itself. Wink

With boundaries, if possible.

Also, I figured Tsrill wasn't being mean Tongue  And I got that post up in RPU on NS population vs RP population.

Hello Smile

We are all claiming plot of land on a map that holds our imaginary nations and their lovely (?) imaginary people who we care for very much (?).

I'm sure we can stretch our disbelief just a bit more with the land sizes Tongue

I will second that please don't ask for colonies just yet. Let's give a chance to all TSPers to make a claim.  I thin there's a MoRa rule in there somewhere that colonies are only granted to citizens and only after a suitable time period or other extenuating circumstances (such as the leader of an RP, which Bel is gearing up to do).

Right now the official standing of the ministry is: pause button on colonies. Let's get to know each other a bit more Tongue

I have an inordinate fear of maps that have no blank spaces Tongue

I also have an obsession with old maps that had vast unexplored territories, sometimes marked by "Here there be dragons."

*RP ideas start popping up around my head like balloons*
