Decided to create a flag quickly in paint, more as a concept than an entry, due to the image quality (I'd do a better job if I had a better program to use, but I don't). If someone really likes the concept and wants to create a fancier version, go for it. Probably needs to be improved quality wise if we were to have it as a regional flag.

 

Why I chose this? Has a lot of the themes common to other flags (blue and black, palm tree etc), it's someone relaxing which fits the laidback region that we are and it's the only one so far with a lampshade (yeah, I can't draw too well, that's what is meant to be on the person's head).

Blue - signifies the sky and sea of the SP

White - The sandy beaches

Gold - the sun rising and setting over the ocean

 

Blue - loyalty

White - peace and purity

Gold - hope and prosperity

How will you count the votes? I wonder how many people would change their flags and how easy it will be to count them.  

 

Super excited by the entries and everyone participating. This is quality activity!

 

Bear Connors suggested "flag of the week" on the RMB which was an idea I really loved (trying out different flags of the week for some time and then doing a vote?).

With 26 different flags that would take roughly six and a half months

 

Counting is easy; I just have to look at my endorsements and tally up the various flags. Its a simple and secure method of voting via the game itself.

so? 6 1/2 months isn't really a long time to decide on a regional flag

Right now it looks like we have two votes for the old flag (alv and rebel) and one vote from bel for the update of the old flag and one vote from me for one of my designs. 

 

If participation remains low (since some people might be resistant to changing their long held flags) then maybe try another voting poll?

 

If we did have flag of the week maybe it could be limited so that one flag per artist so it wouldn't take 6.5 months although for something to get done in that time isn't completely a surprise for a huge nation like TSP :p

Last time I checked I saw a vote for my Eagle flag as well.

And the problem with polls is;

 

1. They can't be done in game

2. Even if they could be done in game there's no way for me to guarantee one player one vote

How are the election time votes done? Anyway, let's hope for more participation so the race gets interesting!
